Due to some misleading information emailed by Paypal a few of our customers have opened disputes accidentially instead of contacting us directly for help. Therefore we have updated every web page to include the information you see at the bottom of this and every page with instructions about the quickest way to get help for any and all issues, whether you bought a scooter and now realize you want to exchange it for a more powerful one, to technical questions, parts questions for the order you received, or any problem you potiential have with any order whether we sent it to you or it came from the X-treme OEM parts warehouse. Using these tips will save everyone time by reducing paperwork and make business flow with quick results.
SCOOTER MODELS HAVE ARRIVED! [5/8/2013]
The new improved XMB-420 Elite Mobility 3 Wheel Scooter has arrived and is shipping. The new improved XB-300, XB-305, and XB-310 have arrived and are shipping. The XMB-320, XB-200, XB-210, and the X-160 are estimated to arrive in late June.

DISCONTINUED OEM PARTS [ORIGINALLY POSTED 11/16/2012]
As X-treme scooter models are discontinued or replaced by newer models over the years the OEM parts support also cannot provide all the parts to maintain that scooter. The reason is that these parts are produced at the same time the model is assembled and the overrun of parts are brought in for repairs. When an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) part is no longer available on the shelf you still may be able to buy a generic part that can be adapted and used as a replacement. But the original part is discontinued. It is often the case that other brands of scooters may use similar parts, so you may not be in a bind, yet. Generic parts like these are simply parts sold after market, overruns that are still unsold. They are perfectly good parts sold off when too many have been made for the production of a particular scooter. And often these parts are up to half the cost of the OEM part, providing a big savings to the buyer. So check out our generic parts pages where we list batteries, electrical, motors, tires, tubes, wheels, and miscellaneous parts for sale in the INDEX BOX on each catalog page and you may find the part that will work for your particular need. Otherwise, if you can afford it and your X-treme Model has gone out of production you should consider buying some spare parts while you can! See the X-treme Model Parts Page Index for your model. PARTS DISCONTINUED FOR OLD MODELS [ORIGINALLY POSTED 9/1/2011]
As reported here the older X-treme discontinued (out of production) models of scooters no longer have parts support. Most ATV and Motorcycle style scooters, as well as some older model Moped style scooters no longer have parts listings or the parts listing advises that you email first prior to ordering and paying for parts. We can check or immediately reply with availability of those OEM parts. This is not unexpected, however, since assembly lines normally do not continue production of parts for older out of production scooters. Once warehoused OEM parts sell from the shelves there are only the possibility of generic or similar model scooter parts filling the need.
OUT OF DATE CUSTOMER PAYPAL ACCOUNTS [POSTED 03/12/2012]
More and more we are seeing customers order with the Paypal Shopping cart system on our site and log in to Paypal to use their accounts without updating old email address and shipping address information before completing the order (which should be obvious if you look at it at the time of the order or in the confirmation emails they and we send). This results in orders being shipped to old addresses, or notifications and shipping information being sent to old email addresses that are not valid or not monitored by customers anymore. We get requests for shipping information, as a result, that was already sent to the email address used for the order. Note that we send emails with all the information for each order. If an order cannot be delivered because of an incorrectly provided address then the item will be returned to the shipping warehouse where it can be reshipped to the customer corrected address, or the order can be cancelled. A new shipping fee will be charged for reshipment. If a part is returned to inventory then a restocking fee is charged in addition to the expended shipping already paid to the carrier, and the balance is refunded through Paypal. If a chargeback is initiated then a further administrative fee will be deducted after the investigation concludes. Paypal only requires the shipment be sent to the verified customer address and this address can be updated by the customer by logging into the customer's paypal account.
Customers do not even need to log into Paypal to order since you can CHECK OUT with or without logging in by selecting either CHECK OUT WITH PAYPAL or CHECK OUT (which bypasses using your account); but, of course, having your information already in a Paypal Account saves time entering the details and possibly saves you from making an entry mistake. Just be sure to keep your Paypal Account information current if you use your account! Credit card expirations and your address information must be up to date in your Paypal Account.
And, if you cannot bear to use the Shopping Cart System we can take your order by phone, too. Phone orders are much less reliable as we record verbal information, however, and we require you to send an email verifying the order and to allow us to contact you reliably with the details of the shipment. Our telephone numbers are always listed on the first page of our Scootersupport.com, Escooterparts.com, and Ecoleco.com websites for easy location and use. Phone orders, however, cannot be cancelled or refunded, so it is best to use the shopping cart system.
WARRANTY TECHS WORKING HARD [SCOOTER NEWS POST]
Record sales and lots of scooters arrived safe and sound. But if you have issues please use the Support Ticket system and give the Technicians a chance to respond. No matter how X-treme Scooters prepares for this time of year there will always be some problems that take longer to resolve. But be assured that your new scooter issues will be handled by competent technicians.
EMAILS ANSWERED FAST [SCOOTER NEWS POST]
Our priority is to answer emails fast. Generally we monitor email receipt 18 hours each day, and much of the time on holidays and Sundays. Our email addresses are as indicated under SUPPORT: sales@scootersupport.com and coleco@ecoleco.com.
Always try us any time of the day or night at these email addresses. It is almost always faster than any other means of communication.

We get lots of calls from purchasers of X-treme scooters who found a scooter elsewhere but could not reach the seller for help, even for the simpliest things. These sellers may even list ScooterSupport.com as a contact for help even though they could have at least informed their customers of X-treme's excellent and free 30 day customer service warranty using the provided Support Ticket System. They know we have office hours and they most likely do not even have an office or provide a means for after-the-sale customer help. We try to help, but we devote our priorities to helping our own customers who purchased from us. Our prices are the very lowest allowable, yet we are here for our customers with parts and service.
X-treme scooters have a pricing structure which Authorized X-treme Dealerships agree to honor. Each scooter has a minimum selling price, and ScooterSupport.com, Escooterparts.com, and Ecoleco.com sites sell at the lowest price permitted. You get the best legal price, plus we are here after the sale for our customers.
X-TREME EXTENDED PRIORITY WARRANTY [SCOOTER NEWS POST]
X-treme has offered an extention to the normal 30 day factory warranty as a part of sales. The normal 30 day warranty starts the day of receipt and a support ticket system is in place to assist all purchasers in this manner for all issues covered under the warranty (details via link from the product description and product page, etc.). This will continue as part of the included support.

However we do get orders for out of stock scooters and parts, possibility in hopes that a return may come available or that miscalculation of inventory will result in the shipment occuring after the item has been placed in an unavailable status. Please note that ordering items otherwise unavailable will generally result in a waste of time even though you will eventually receive a refund of your payment.

TERMS OF SALE - ORDER POLICIES [SCOOTER NEWS POST]
We list our Terms of Sale for orders to cover exchanges, returns, and all eventualities that might occur. As our FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) listed in our main index does indicate we try to prevent problems that might occur before an order to save the customer money and time. We test our products for quality during an initial testing phase, and for proper load-tested working order and visual inspection just prior to packaging. This insures the item is shipped in a condition that allows the customer to install and use a part upon receipt with confidence that it will work. We cannot know that a customer has ordered a part that is improper for his/her needs. Yet, we do provide help to achieve a proper order using email and phone services during business hours.
We also have quality built into all the scooters we sell that we have invested many years in business to testify to the very high degree of customer satisfaction for these sales. Factory warehouse warranties are provided for the eventuality that an issue does occur. And even an extended warranty to a full 90 days (instead of the standard 30 day warranty) is available for a very modest fee at the time of sale. All conditions are covered in the warranty terms as listed on our website from each scooter description or page.

MOTOR FUN [SCOOTER NEWS POST]
We have converted one X360 scooter very simply. We replaced the 350 watt 36 volt chain drive motor with a 250 watt 24 volt chain drive motor using the same four bolts. We got a good deal on these well made 250 watt motors and decided to see how well the motor would hold up with 36 volts being applied. The results are that the motor definitely turns a much higher RPM, probably around 4000 at top speed when at 24 volts it would yield less than 3000, closer to 2750. Acceleration is slower, but it is our fastest scooter and will outrun any of our regular scooters and even our X360 with the 600 watt motor if you give it at least half a block to catch up. Why? Because RPM is speed and the 24 volt motor will yield the higher RPM given a slower acceleration.
We are still running the 24 volt motor without problems after at least three months. And we have a great deal on these durable little motors on the Motors Webpage.

MAKE YOUR OWN SCOOTER [SCOOTER NEWS POST]
Most scooters are made with a generic concept: low cost, make it run fast but not drain the batteries, and keep the torque (acceleration) and speed in check so kids won't hurt themselves. You can buy lots of nice scooters from us that we offer as proven products, from starter scooters in the 100 watt range to high end high speed scooters like the Rad2Go E36 with an 800 watt motor. All these scooters are ready to use, but they are engineered to be less than what is called a 'performance capable' scooter.
On numerous occasions we have put together scooters using parts from different scooter laying around. We know from experience that we can put together very high speed, low acceleration scooters; or, we can put together scooters from parts that make inclines or rider weight no problem. The variety of parts available can make a scooter anything you want it to be.
On common thing we have available is parts for the X-treme X-360 scooter and Rad2Go scooter. Taking some of these components from each scooter can make a very nice hybrid with high speed, great acceleration, and not much modification to achieve excellent results. We have written about this effort (with pictures) at Performance Scooter Construction. Within a few hours and not a great amount of money we achieved a very nice hybrid scooter that can accelerate quicly, climb inclines (hills), and reach very nice top speeds without draining the battery very quickly. You can make your own scooter in this same fashion, too. Parts are available, or you can special order a scratch and dent X-360 so you will have the base parts to modify. Save $20 and order the X-360 scratch and dent scooter, plus the other components to make your own high performance scooter.
GROWING WITH QUALITY [SCOOTER NEWS POST]
Every year since we started the electric scooter parts and support business we have grown. There is a good story about how we started the family business when we couldn't even buy a drive belt for our first electric scooter in 2000, but no space for that here now. We really thank all our loyal and new customers for their past purchases of parts and scooters and look forward to a doubling of new customers again this year. We enter 2006 knowing that we are doing more than selling just quality scooters and scooter parts. We are providing some ease of frustration and anxiety that often comes from buying from someone you don't know selling unknown quality or condition things over the internet or from a retail store. And, we are happy to provide fast shipping of items that we know our customers will find satisfying.
But, parts change as have suppliers we buy from because nothing stays the same. Most of our suppliers have come and gone. Sometimes it is a scramble to find reliable suppliers for items we need, and even the time tested suppliers have their problems! But with the exception that a picture may not exactly reflect a part we currently sell on our website there is still quality testing of the parts before they are purchased in bulk and again before they are packaged for shipment to our customers. Testing is done using bench test equipment when called for, e.g., electrical components must be tested. Other items are inspected visually. Tires and tubes are pressurized and checked for defects (no one wants to buy a new rear wheel with a bent rim or sprocket). Items are put in limited use on the bench or even temporarily mounted in a scooter for use tests if necessary. What this saves our customers is time primarily that could be lost while shipping back a part and waiting on a new part from a vendor who does not take the time to evaluate the parts before they ship them.
We also hear from customers who are thankful that we helped them when the company that sold them their scooter or scooter parts was unavailable or nearly impossible to reach. Some said that even after they made contact they were not helped. It takes more than being able to sell scooters and parts to be knowledgable and helpful when customers need assistance or advise. We have nearly 45 years of electronic background experience and motorcycle rebuilding experience. And having also built amateur aircraft certainly has been an asset to building and modifying scooters, testing parts, and having knowledge of how to resolve problems. We feel that there is no other company even remotely as qualified to help their customers and those needing assistance.
Bottom line, when a child wants to ride and his scooter is broken then we get you a part, if at all possible (if you are not sure about what to order then you can call or email us at the information posted under SUPPORT). And that is really what it is all about and why we started the business of selling parts worldwide.
